Section II - Getting the Job: Interviews, Deal Memos, and Onboarding

Pre-Production Integration & Onboarding
Every Intimacy Coordinator’s work begins long before you arrive on set. This module prepares you to step confidently into your role from day one, with clear guidance on how to onboard with both the production and your employer of record.
You’ll learn how to navigate interviews with producers and department heads, communicate your process effectively, and negotiate your deal memo to clearly define your terms, pay and scope of work. We’ll walk you through standard onboarding procedures—including how to complete start paperwork, submit tax documentation, and ensure you’re properly set up with your employer of record (such as Cast & Crew, Entertainment Partners, or CAPS) to receive timely payment and benefits when applicable.
This section also trains you to get on the right distribution (distro) lists and access key documents such as scripts, call sheets, one-liners, and more, so you can plan and advocate with precision. You’ll gain tools to ensure you're embedded in production communications, invited to relevant meetings, and positioned to track intimacy scenes across the schedule.
By the end of this module, you’ll be fully equipped to enter any production environment organized, informed, and ready to lead with integrity and clarity.
In this section we'll cover
